As monsoon season begins in some parts of India, it is imperative to exercise prudence when it comes to selecting foods in order to avoid any risk of health complications.
Raw leafy greens are not safe to eat during the monsoon because they may contain bacteria and dirt.
Eat with caution when eating from the street, as many foods are not properly cooked or sanitised.
Don't eat raw salads because the vegetables could be spoiled or soggy.
During the monsoon, seafood is more likely to deteriorate, making it unsafe to eat.
Street vendors may not properly wash or store their cut fruits, so it's best to avoid buying them.
To avoid bloating and indigestion, try to limit your intake of fried foods.
Especially if they haven't been kept cold, dairy products should be treated with caution.
Leftovers and stale foods should be avoided since they may contain bacteria that might make you sick.
