The monsoons are already here, and so is the craving for pakora. Fritters are a very popular snack during the monsoons in India. Cashews are nuts which can be uniquely turned into delicious fritters. Try something rich with this cashew pakora recipe.
1 cup cashews 1/2 cup gram flour (besan) 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste 1/4 cup water Oil for deep frying
Combine soaked cashews, gram flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
Add water to the mixture, stirring continuously until you achieve a thick, smooth batter.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan to medium heat.
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
