With monsoon flood alerts issued across large parts of the country, getting a food survival kit is of the utmost importance. Here are all the essentials you should be stocking for your survival kit.
Choose food items that require no cooking or refrigeration like canned meat, fruits, vegetables, soups and beans.
These nutrient-rich snacks provide energy, essential vitamins, and minerals while also having a long shelf life.
Ensure you have an ample supply of clean drinking water and consider including water purification tablets.
Pack snacks that are high in energy and provide sustenance, such as granola bars, trail mix, jerky, or dried fruit.
Keep a stock of commonly consumed staples that can provide sustenance during emergencies, like rice, lentils, oil and essential spices.
Pack some tea bags, instant coffee, or coffee powder, along with sugar or sweeteners, milk powder for comforting beverages.
If you have infants or young children, make sure to include an adequate supply of baby food, formula, and other essential supplies like diapers.
If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, ensure you have enough suitable food options in your kit.
