Moglai Porota: Try Bengali Paratha Recipe For A Fulfilling Meal

Paratha is the soul food for Indians. Every region in the country boasts some unique creations. West Bengal has moglai porota or Mughlai paratha which makes a fulfilling meal when paired with curd and pickles.

Ingredients

2 cups atta or maida 2 chopped green chillies ½ tsp coriander and chilli powder 3 tbsp oil ¼ tsp turmeric and cumin powder ¼ tsp garam masala Salt to taste ½ chopped onion 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 2 cups grated paneer 1 capsicum and carrot ½ tsp amchur powder

Step 1

In a bowl, add atta or maida, salt to taste, a tablespoon of oil, and water. Knead it into a soft and keep it aside.

Step 2

In another bowl, add grated paneer, chopped onion, chopped capsicum, and grated carrot.

Step 3

Top the vegetables with ginger garlic paste, spices, and fresh coriander leaves.

Step 4

After sprinkling salt, combine the mixture into a small dough.

Step 5

Roll the stuffed dough with a rolling pin and spread it gently on a hot tawa.

Step 6

Apply oil on the edges and cook the moglai porota until both sides are crispy and golden brown.
