Mocha Overnight Oats Recipe For A Healthy Breakfast

Overnight oats are delicious on their own but why not add coffee to mix? These mocha overnight oats will be even more delicious while also providing you with your daily morning caffeine fix. The recipe is easy to work with and uses pantry staples for a quick, filling breakfast or midday snack.

Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup cooled brewed coffee 1/2 cup milk 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 1 tablespoon maple syrup or sweetener of choice 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional toppings: chopped nuts, chocolate chips, whipped cream

Step 1

Place the rolled oats, milk, brewed coffee, chocolate powder, maple syrup, and vanilla essence in a container or bowl.

Step 2

Mix everything thoroughly until everything is fully combined.

Step 3

Refrigerate the bowl or dish for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Step 4

Stir well the grains before serving. You may thin out the consistency if it's too thick by adding a small amount of milk.

Step 5

Add your preferred toppings, such as chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a dollop of whipped cream.
