Millet Pulao: Healthy One-Pot Recipe For A Gluten-Free Meal

Millets are the stars of the ingredients thanks to their unmatched nutritional benefits and their taste. If you are following a dietary restriction and want a quick meal, the one-pot millet pulao would be the best.

Ingredients

1 cup mixed millets 1 onion 1 tomato 1 green chilli 1 inch ginger 2 cloves garlic 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 bay leaf 2 green cardamoms 1 cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon garam masala 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste 2 tablespoons oil Assorted vegetables

Step 1

Rinse the mixed millet and soak for half an hour. Drain and keep aside.

Step 2

Heat some oil and saute cumin seeds, bay leaf, green cardamom, and cinnamon stick.

Step 3

Add chopped onion, ginger and garlic. Mix in tomatoes and cook till soft.

Step 4

Stir in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala.

Step 5

Add vegetables like peas, carrots, and cauliflower. Pour some water and boil.

Step 6

Add the millets and let the mixture simmer. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
