Millet Khichdi: Here’s How To Make The One-Pot Meal Gluten-Free

Millet khichdi is a great way to make a comforting meal gluten-free. Here’s a recipe to make the one-pot meal with quinoa. Follow these steps to make millet khichdi in no time.

Ingredients

1 cup quinoa, rinsed 1 cup toor dal 1 onion 1 tablespoon ghee 1 inch piece ginger, grated 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste Water as needed

Step 1

Rinse quinoa and toor dal.

Step 2

Heat some ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onion and ginger.

Step 3

Stir in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Cook till fragrant.

Step 4

Add quinoa, dal, and water, covering 2 inches of the cooker. Pressure cook for 20 minutes.

Step 5

Turn off the heat and let the cooker release. Garnish with ghee and serve hot.
