If you are looking for an easy recipe for a wholesome meal, look no further than millet khichdi made using bajra. It is delicious, nutritious, and helps you overcome cravings. Here is its recipe.
½ cup bajra Salt, water as needed 1 tomato ½ cup moong dal 1-2 tbsp ghee A pinch of turmeric ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp jeera, red chilli powder 1 tsp grated ginger ¼ cup methi or palak leaves 1 cup chopped veggies
Wash bajra and moong dal thoroughly. Soak them in water for a while.
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add turmeric and cumin seeds to it.
Roast vegetables in it for 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle spices.
Once spices are roasted, add drained millet and dal into the pressure cooker.
Cook on a medium flame until you hear 2-3 whistles.
Serve khichdi with a dollop of ghee and raita and papad on the side.
