Make this instant handvo recipe using millet flour for a boost of nutrition and feeling of satiety while you begin your day. Enjoy with some green chutney on the side.
1 cup chopped monsoon greens (dungarbhaji, ambadi) 1 cup jowar flour ½ cup semolina 1 tablespoon garlic paste 1 teaspoon ginger paste ¼ teaspoon crushed fenugreek seeds ½ teaspoon turmeric powder ½ cup yoghurt ¼ cup chopped coriander 1 pinch asafoetida Salt, to taste
2 teaspoons vegetable oil 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Combine all the ingredients for the handvo in a bowl and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
Add some water to loosen the mixture if it is too thick and pour into a greased pan.
Cook for 7-8 minutes before unmoulding and cooking on the other side.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a smaller pan and temper the mustard and sesame seeds.
Transfer the cooked handvo to a plate and pour over the tempering. Cut and serve warm.
