Chakli is a popular Diwali snack that is enjoyed throughout the festive season. But if you want to make it healthier, you can use millet and enjoy the gluten-free snack without the guilt.
1 cup ragi flour 1/2 cup jowar flour 1/4 cup rice flour 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon hing 1/4 cup oil 1/4 cup water or as needed Oil for deep frying
Mix ragi flour, jowar flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, and hing.
Gradually add oil and mix. Add in water to knead a smooth dough. Let it rest.
Heat some oil. Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a long rope.
Make a spiral shape and deep fry till crispy.
Drain on a paper towel, let it cool, and serve.
