We all know the Tequila Sunrise, a beautiful and delicious classic cocktail, but there's a new kid on the block. Using Mezcal, a strong agave spirit, create a smoky twist on the classic tequila sunrise!
2 oz Mezcal 1 oz fresh orange juice 1/2 oz lime juice 1/2 oz agave nectar 2 dashes orange bitters Splash of grenadine Orange slice and cherry, for garnish Ice
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Mezcal, fresh orange juice, lime juice, agave nectar, and orange bitters to the shaker.
Shake well for 15-20 seconds until all the ingredients are well mixed and chilled.
Fill a tall glass with ice and strain the mixture into the glass. Slowly pour a splash of grenadine over the top of the drink.
Garnish with an orange slice and cherry, and serve immediately.
