Winter mornings call for a hot cup of tea and what’s better than masala chai? For a cosy cup of chai and the goodness of ginger and spices, you can refer to this recipe and make your tea.
1.5 cups water 1 inch cinnamon stick 3 green cardamoms 4 cloves 5 black peppercorns ½ inch fresh ginger, grated 1 teaspoon black tea ¾ cup milk Sugar to taste
Dry roast cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and peppercorns till aromatic.
Add water and grated ginger to the same pan. Let it boil.
Add black tea and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Pour in the milk and sugar and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
Strain the tea into cups and enjoy.
