The lacy thin crepes made using a simple diluted rice batter, is a great breakfast option for times when you donât want to eat a heavy meal to kickstart the day. Enjoy a stack of neer dosas with fresh coconut chutney and sambar for breakfast during rushed weekdays.
1 cup old basmati rice 1 + ¾ cups water 1 teaspoon salt Oil, for greasing
Soak the rice after you rinse it for a minimum of 4 hours before draining and adding to a blender jar.
Pour in a cup of water and grind until smooth, adding more at intervals.
Once you have a diluted batter, transfer to a bowl and season with some salt.
Grease a hot pan with some oil before ladling the batter over the surface and spreading it all over.
Cook over medium-high flame, allowing the batter to set before flipping it and cooking for a few more seconds.
Repeat the process until you have enough and serve warm with coconut chutney.
