Mallipoo dosa is a pure delight, the pillowy soft melt in mouth texture is what makes it different from the rest of the dosa types. If you wish to try this softest dosa at home, here is the recipe for you to try.
1 cup Raw rice 1 tablespoon Urad dal 1/2 cup Coconut 1 tablespoon Salt
Soak raw rice and urad dal in water for 6 hours. Grind the soaked rice and dal into a fine batter, adding water as needed.
Extract thick coconut milk from ½ cup coconut mixed with ¼ cup water and set aside. Heat 1 cup of water in a pan and add one ladleful of batter. Cook until done.
Transfer the cooked batter to the ground batter using a sieve, ensuring a smooth consistency. Mix in the coconut milk thoroughly. Allow the batter to ferment for 8-10 hours.
Make thick dosas from the fermented batter, covering and cooking on one side until golden brown. Serve the Mallipoo dosai hot with your favourite chutney or sambar for a delicious and aromatic meal experience.
