Malai Keema, a super creamy minced meat dish, is a warm hug in a bowl. The spices and cream are perfect for those who love comfort food. It is served with naan or rice, a quick winner dinner with a North Indian twist.
250 grams keema ½ cup malai 2 tsp ghee or oil 1 onion 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 green chilli 1 tsp jeera ½ tsp turmeric 1 tsp coriander ½ tsp garam masala Salt to taste Coriander leaves for garnish
Heat ghee or oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they are golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli; cook for a minute until the raw smell goes away.
Add keema and cook on medium heat until it changes colour and is well browned.
Add turmeric, coriander and salt; cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour in malai and reduce the heat. Let the keema cook until the malai thickens and coats the keema evenly.
Add garam masala and garnish with coriander. Serve hot with naan or rice.
