One of the biggest parts of Onam Sadhya is the dessert. Paal payasam is among the crucial recipes that you should make at home. Here is a step-by-step guide for you.

Ingredients

1 litre milk 3 tbsp basmati rice 1 tbsp ghee 4 tbsp sugar

Step 1

Take a heavy bottom pan and heat ghee in it. Roast basmati rice in it.

Let the milk come to a boil first. Do not stir until you witness bubbles forming.

Step 6

Paal Payasam will be ready with a thick consistency. Garnish with saffron strands, rose petals, and chopped dry fruits.
