Whenever guests visit our house or there is a sudden hunger pang, Indian kitchens are stocked up with namkeen. Here are some tips to make crispy namkeen at home.
Use fresh ingredients like spices and nuts while preparing the namkeen.
Get the temperature of the oil right. Too hot or too cool oil can spoil the crispy texture.
Experiment with spices to get new flavours and have a change of taste.
Make sure you thoroughly remove all the extra oil with paper towels. This keeps them crispy for long.
Store your namkeen in an airtight container. The namkeen will remain crispy and fresh.
