Chana chaat, a spicy and tangy delight, is perfect for monsoon cravings. Its flavours blend beautifully with the rainy season, offering a refreshing and satisfying snack that enhances the joy of monsoon showers.
2 cups chickpeas/garbanzo beans ¾ to 1 cup tamarind (imli) chutney ¼ cup water 1 small white potato or ½ russet potato, boiled and cubed ¼ onion, diced fine ½ small tomato diced ¼ cup cilantro, chopped ½ green chilli, chopped
Add chickpeas, tamarind chutney, and water to a pot on medium heat.
Mash chickpeas with the back of a wooden spoon.
Cover and heat the chickpeas, then prepare the vegetables.
Chop onions, tomato, cilantro, and green chilli finely.
Stir the chickpeas after 5-8 minutes and mash some more.
Add boiled potato cubes and stir well.
Plate the chaat, garnish with cilantro and sprinkle chaat masala
