Dabeli is a popular Gujarati street food. Similar to Mumbai’s vada pav, you can make this traditional Gujarati snack in just 15 minutes. Here’s a step-wise recipe that you can follow.
4 potatoes 2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 onion 1 green chilli 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste 2 tablespoons tamarind chutney 2 tablespoons roasted peanut Coriander leaves 6 Pav buns Tamarind chutney Sev Pomegranate seeds Ghee for toasting the buns
Saute cumin seeds, chopped onion, and green chilli. Mix in red chilli powder.
Add mashed potatoes and cook while mixing well. Set aside.
Toast pav buns and spread tamarind chutney on the lower half.
Add a spoonful of potato mixture, pomegranate seeds, roasted peanuts, coriander leaves, and sev.
Place the upper half and add some butter on the top. Serve hot.
