Mushroom Biryani is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are hosting a cosy family get-together or want to make a lavish dinner menu, mushroom biryani is the best recipe to please the crowd. Here’s how you make it:
1 Cup Basmati Rice 2 Tablespoon Ghee 1 Teaspoon Fennel Seeds 1 Stick Cinnamon 3 Cardamom 2 Cloves 1 Bay Leaf 1 Large Onion and 1 Tomato Sliced, 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste 2 Slit Green Chillies 200 gms Mushroom 2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder and Garam Masala Powder 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder, Cumin Powder, 1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder and Coriander Leaves Mint Leaves Salt and Water
In a pressure cooker, add ghee and whole spices. Let them sizzle for a few minutes.
Add chopped onions and saute until golden. Then add green chillies, and ginger garlic paste until the raw smell disappears.
Include tomatoes and mushrooms. Mix it well and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Add all the spice powders and saute it for 3 to 4 minutes.
Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves on top and mix well.
Add uncooked and washed basmati rice and toss in masala to make the flavours absorb. Then season with salt.
Bring it to a boil then cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Simmer it for 5 more minutes before taking off the heat.
Let the pressure release and open the cooker to take out the prepared biryani and serve it hot with raita.
