Retaining the same decadence and richness of the usual French toast, this vegan version is perfect for those who are dairy-free and need an eggless breakfast option.

2 slices sourdough bread ½ cup soy milk 1 tablespoon sugar 2 tablespoons corn starch ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder ¼ teaspoon dry ginger powder ¼ teaspoon clove powder 2 tablespoons butter 1 pinch salt

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and pour the soy milk to form a custard-like mixture.

Soak the slices of sourdough in the plant milk mixture for a couple of minutes on each side.

Heat some butter in a pan and place the bread in once it bubbles to cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
