Craving something sweet and nutty this winter? Why not try an amazing walnut cake, which can be made with a few easy steps? Make this easy dessert at home to serve everyone and impress your guests.
For the cake: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup milk 1 cup chopped walnuts
For the walnut topping: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp butter
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
Combine dry ingredients and cream wet ingredients.
Mix until just combined.
Stir in the chopped walnuts.
Combine chopped walnuts and brown sugar.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the walnut topping over the batter.
Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool completely before serving.
