A spinach omelette is a wholesome breakfast option with protein and nutrients. With fluffy eggs, sautéed spinach, and a touch of seasoning, it’s quick, flavourful, and energising. Pair it with toast or fresh juice for a healthy start to your day. Apart from the usual ingredients, you can also add grated cheese or herbs like parsley for extra flavour.
2 large eggs 1 cup fresh spinach 2 tbsp onion 1 green chilli 1 tbsp milk 1 tbsp oil or butter Salt Black pepper
Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk well. Add milk, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Heat oil or butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add onions and green chilli, and sauté until the onions turn translucent.
Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 1-2 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and pour the whisked eggs over the spinach mixture. Gently spread the mixture evenly across the pan. Cook until the bottom is set, about 2-3 minutes.
Carefully flip the omelette using a spatula and cook the other side for another minute until fully set.
Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot. Pair it with toast, salad, or chutney for a wholesome meal.
