Sweet potato chaat is a delightful blend of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavours. This healthy snack features tender sweet potatoes tossed with chaat masala, lemon juice, and spices. It’s a wholesome treat perfect for any time of the day and any occasion.

Ingredients

2 medium sweet potatoes 1/2 tsp chaat masala 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder 1/4 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves 1 green chilli Salt

Step 1

Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly. Boil them in water until tender (about 15-20 minutes) or roast them in the oven at 200°C until soft.

Step 2

Let them cool, then peel and cut into bite-sized cubes or slices.

Step 3

Place the sweet potato pieces in a mixing bowl. Add chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Toss gently to coat evenly.

Step 4

Drizzle with lemon juice and mix well. 

Step 5

Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and green chillies for freshness and heat. Transfer the chaat to a serving plate.

Step 6

Serve this sweet potato chaat warm or at room temperature as a snack or appetiser.
