For the marinade 400 gms curry cut chicken 1/2 cup curd 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 tsp salt 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp garam masala powder For garnish 1 tbsp fried onions 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves 1-2 lemon wedges

For the pulao 1 cup Basmati rice 2 tbsp oil 2 bay leaves 1 tsp cumin seeds 6 cloves 10 peppercorns 1" piece of cinnamon 1 black cardamom 5 green cardamoms 1 star anise 1 piece of mace 1 medium onion sliced 1-2 chopped green chillies 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 1 medium tomato finely chopped 1 tsp salt or to taste 1 tbsp lemon juice

Marinate the chicken with curd, ginger garlic paste, salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder (dhania), and garam masala powder. Keep aside for at least 30 minutes.
In the meantime, wash and soak the basmati rice for 20-30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan. Add the bay leaves, cumin seeds, and the whole garam masala. Saute until they release their aroma.
