Make This Easy French Toast For A Sweet Weekday Breakfast Treat

A simple way to spruce up your boring eggs and toast, adding a sweet spin to breakfast can feel like a treat even on dreary work days. Enjoy recreating this simple recipe for breakfast to eat with maple syrup, fruits or preserves of your choice.

INGREDIENTS

4 slices bread 2 eggs ½ cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Butter, for pan-frying Maple syrup, for drizzling Fruit of choice

STEP 1

Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract and cinnamon in a bowl.

STEP 2

Add some butter to melt in a pan while you dunk each slice of bread in the egg mixture.

STEP 3

Once the butter starts to foam, place each slice of egg-soaked bread in the pan to cook for 3-4 minutes.

STEP 4

Flip each slice over once golden-brown and cook further for a couple of minutes.

STEP 5

Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey, fresh fruits or preserves.
