1 cup poha, washed 1 small onion, chopped 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 pinch asafoetida 4-5 curry leaves 1 teaspoon turmeric powder ¼ cup freshly grated coconut 2 tablespoons peanuts 2 green chillies, chopped 1.5 tablespoons vegetable oil Juice of ½ lemon 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, chopped 1 teaspoon sugar Salt, to taste

Heat the oil and temper the asafoetida, mustard seeds and curry leaves.

Add the green chillies and onions to sauté for a few minutes, until browned.

Add the turmeric powder and peanuts to combine and crisp slightly.
