– 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning – 1 teaspoon garlic powder – 1 teaspoon onion powder – 1/2 teaspoon paprika – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/4 teaspoon black pepper – Vegetable oil, for frying – Lemon wedges, for serving – Fresh parsley
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
In batches, dredge the peeled and deveined shrimp in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Carefully place the coated shrimp into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the fried shrimp to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Once all the shrimp are fried, serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
