Spring rolls are a popular appetizer, known for their crispy, golden exterior and flavorful fillings. Traditionally deep-fried, spring rolls can now be made healthier and just as delicious by using an air fryer. This method reduces the need for excess oil, making them a lighter alternative while still delivering that satisfying crunch. Whether you prefer vegetable, chicken, or shrimp fillings, air fryer spring rolls are quick to prepare and perfect for serving at gatherings
– Spring roll wrappers – Filling of choice (vegetable mix, chicken, shrimp, etc.) – Soy sauce, ginger, and garlic for seasoning – Cornstarch to seal the wrappers – A light brushing of oil
Sauté your preferred filling ingredients (e.g., cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, chicken) with soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Let it cool. Place a spoonful of the filling onto a spring roll wrapper.
Roll tightly, folding in the sides, and seal with cornstarch and water. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly brush or spray the spring rolls with oil to enhance the crispiness
Place the spring rolls in the basket without overcrowding. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown and crispy. Serve with dipping sauces like sweet chili or soy sauce for added flavor.
