Make These Filipino-Style Fried Banana Rolls To Satisfy Your Sugar Cravings

Want to indulge in dessert after a meal or simply want to munch on something sweet? These crispy and gooey banana rolls are simple, use a handful of ingredients and are big on flavour. Drizzle them generously with chocolate or caramel sauce and eat them hot with a scoop of ice cream on the side.

INGREDIENTS

3 ripe bananas 1 packet wonton wrappers ½ cup raw sugar Oil, for deep-frying

STEP 1

Slice the bananas into halves and set aside while you place the sugar in a flat saucer.

STEP 2

Lay out a wonton wrapper close to the plate and coat the banana halves with sugar on both sides.

STEP 3

Transfer one half to the waiting wonton wrapper and roll it up, making sure to seal any open edges with water.

STEP 4

Repeat the process until you have enough, before gently dropping each roll in the hot oil and frying until golden-brown.

Serve hot with a dusting of powdered sugar, a drizzle of caramel or chocolate and a scoop of ice cream.
