Pooris are the ultimate comfort food and are loved all over India. The crispy and wholesome flavours are the best treats for tastebuds. Pooris can be made with different ingredients to create different dishes and paired with delightful sabjis. Make these 6 pooris at home for a comforting winter feast.

Sooji Besan Masala Poori

Combine sooji with besan, and add salt and spices of choice. Knead the dough, make small balls, roll into pooris and fry until golden.

Palak Poori

Make a slurry of palak and add it to flour. Add crumbled paneer, spices and salt, knead the dough and make small balls then roll them into pooris. Fry it and serve hot.

Aloo Poori

Mix boiled potato, suji, coriander, ajwain, black pepper powder, salt and turmeric in flour and knead well. Make small balls and roll them into pooris. Deep fry the pooris and serve hot.

Multigrain Poori

Create a mixture of wheat flour flours of besan, ragi, jawar and bajra. Add coriander, sesame, salt, chilli powder, chopped chillis, oil, hing, turmeric and coriander. Create a dough, roll it into pooris and fry.

Bedmi Poori

Mix wheat flour, maida, suji, salt, ajwain, kasoori methi, and ghee until crumbly mixture forms. Knead into dough, make small balls, roll into pooris and fry until golden.

Combine wheat flour, boiled grated potato, grated beetroot, suji, white pepper powder, and carom seeds. Knead into a dough, divide into small balls, make pooris by rolling and then fry.
