Bun Samosa is a popular street food snack that combines two beloved Indian treats: the samosa and a soft bun. It's a delightful fusion where a crispy samosa is placed inside a buttered bun and often garnished with chutneys, onions, and spices. Here’s how it’s made:
2 samosas (store-bought or homemade) 2 buns (pav or burger buns) 2 tbsp butter Green chutney (coriander-mint chutney) Tamarind chutney Chopped onions Chaat masala
Slice the buns in half and lightly butter the insides. Toast them on a hot pan or tawa until golden brown and slightly crisp.
Spread green chutney on the inner sides of the buns. Place one samosa in each bun. You can slightly mash the samosa to flatten it and make it easier to eat.
Drizzle some tamarind chutney over the samosa (optional for a sweet-tangy flavour. Add a sprinkle of chopped onions and chaat masala if desired.
Close the bun, pressing gently to hold the samosa in place. Serve hot with extra chutney on the side.
