Fried, spicy and perfect to pair with a cup of chai, Aloo Pattice is a popular snack found in many parts of India. If you find the puff pastry sheets difficult to make, they are easily available in stores. The potato, filled with spices, is easy to make at home. Follow these simple steps to make this crisp, delicious snack.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. Then add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.

Add mashed potatoes, coriander leaves and salt to taste. Mix everything well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of the cooled potato filling in the centre of each circle. Fold the pastry over to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
Fry the patties in hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
