Pesarattu dosa is made with moong dal, making it healthy and nutritious. If you have soaked moong dal overnight, making dosa with its batter is a cakewalk. Here is how you can make it at home in just a few simple steps.
¾ inch ginger 1 cup whole moong dal Salt to taste 4 green chillies 1 teaspoon cumin seeds Ghee as required 1-2 tablespoons raw rice 2 chopped and fried onions 200 gm paneer
Rinse moong dal and rice thoroughly and soak them for 6 hours at least. Drain the water and rinse the ingredients again.
Add moong dal, rice, green chillies, cumin seeds, ginger, and salt to taste in a blender and make a coarse paste.
Add water to maintain the consistency. It should be neither too dense nor too runny.
Heat a non-stick skillet and spread the batter on it. While it cooks, spread ghee on the edges.
If you have nothing at home, grate paneer on top of the dosa, add fried onions, and sprinkle some red chilli powder.
When the base has turned crispy, serve the dosa with sambar and chutney.
