Make South Indian Banana Chips For Crispy Munchies

South India’s most popular munchies, banana chips, are now enjoyed across the world. The crispy chips are so delicious that you cannot put the packet down. But instead of buying it from a store, why don’t you make a healthier version at home?

Ingredients

4-5 raw bananas 2 litres water 2 tablespoons salt 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional) Oil for deep frying

Step 1

Pick raw bananas that are firm and green. Chop them into very thin slices.

Step 2

Mix water, salt, and turmeric powder. Immerse the banana slices into the water for at least 30 minutes.

Step 3

Drain the slices and spread them on paper towels to get rid of moisture.

Step 4

Heat some oil and deep fry the banana slices till crispy.

Step 5

Season the fried chips with salt and store them in an air-tight container.
