Tomato soup is one of the quintessential snacks or dinners during chilli evenings to soothe your soul. Many of you will surely order this simple dish from restaurants. Well, why not make it home? Get to know how to make it in easy steps.
1 tablespoon olive oil 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 1 can tomatoes 4 cups vegetable broth 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano Salt and pepper to taste Fresh basil leaves
Wash and crush the tomatoes beforehand according to the preferred texture.
Add olive oil, onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the pot.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Use an immersion blender to puree the soup until smooth.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
