Originating from the Mughal Times, Shahi Tukda stands by its name and gives a royal and elegant touch to a feast. For Iftar, you can make an indulgent serving of shahi tukda with this recipe.
4 bread slices 1 litre milk 1 cup sugar 1 cup water Oil for frying 3-4 cardamoms 1/2 teaspoon rose water Chopped nuts Saffron for garnishing
Take the bread slices and cut them into equal squares.
Deep fry the bread pieces till they are crunchy and golden brown and set them aside.
Simmer milk, sugar, cardamom, and rose water to make rabri.
Coat the fried bread pieces with sugar syrup. Add the coated bread to the rabri.
Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron, and enjoy.
