Pasta is one of the simplest and most comforting dishes that you can prepare. It works wonderfully well on both your regular days and also when you need a dish to celebrate any occasion. Making your pasta at home is a rewarding process and by avoiding these common mistakes you can make restaurant-style pasta from the comfort of your kitchen.

Make sure you undercook the pasta for just a minute so that it cooks when it is mixed with sauces completely.

Keep stirring the pasta when it boils to avoid it from lumping or sticking together.

Do not add olive oil to your pasta water as it can make sauces slip off the pasta and make it too oily.

Make sure you add salt in an adequate amount to your pasta as it provides flavour to the entire dish later.

Do not rinse the pasta once it's boiled as the natural starches and salt will be rinsed away due to that.

Drain the pasta once it is booked and don't let it stay in water as it can get soggy quickly.

Don't throw your pasta water; use it later to thicken your sauces and mix it well with your pasta.
