Sangria is a vibrant, refreshing Spanish drink made by mixing red wine with fruit, brandy, and sometimes spices. Served chilled, it’s perfect for gatherings, offering a balance of sweetness, citrusy tanginess, and depth from the wine, making it a crowd-pleasing beverage.
1 bottle of red wine (750 ml) 1/4 cup brandy 1/4 cup orange juice 1/4 cup sugar (optional, adjust to taste) 1 orange, thinly sliced 1 lemon, thinly sliced 1 apple, cored and cut into thin wedges 1-2 cinnamon sticks
In a large pitcher or bowl, add the sliced orange, lemon, apple, and any other fruits you’re using.
Pour the red wine, brandy, and orange juice into the pitcher with the fruit.
Stir in sugar, if desired, until dissolved.
Drop in cinnamon sticks for extra flavour if you like.
Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2-4 hours, or overnight for a more infused taste.
