Homemade Makhana Snack Makhana, also known as foxnuts, is a healthy and delicious snack, often prepared during fasting. It’s made using minimal ingredients and requires slow roasting, making it a nutritious and crunchy treat for everyone.
1 tsp ghee 2 cups makhana (lotus seeds) ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder ¼ tsp pepper powder ¼ tsp cumin powder ½ tsp chaat masala ¼ tsp salt
Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a large pan on low flame. Add 2 cups of makhana and roast for 7-10 minutes until crunchy.
Turn off the flame and sprinkle chilli powder, pepper, cumin powder, and salt.
Add chaat masala for a tangy flavour twist to the makhana.
Mix well, ensuring the spices evenly coat the makhana. Let the makhana cool and store it in an airtight container for later.
