Experience the rich and aromatic flavour of Badam Milk, a traditional Indian beverage made from almonds, milk, and a hint of cardamom. Perfect for any season, enjoy it warm or chilled.
35 almonds (¼ cup) ⅓ cup hot water (for soaking almonds) 2.25 cups milk 4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste) 4 green cardamoms 1 pinch saffron strands (optional)
Soak 35 almonds in ⅓ cup hot water for 30-40 minutes. Peel the soaked almonds easily by pressing their skins.
Blend the peeled almonds with 4 tbsp sugar, cardamom seeds, and saffron until smooth.
Add ¼ to ⅓ cup milk to the almond mixture and blend to a fine consistency.
Pour the almond mixture into a saucepan, add the remaining milk, and mix well.
Heat the milk on low flame, stirring occasionally, until it becomes hot but not boiling.
Serve your Badam Milk warm or chilled, optionally garnished with rose petals or sliced almonds.
