The craving for “something sweet” and the typical rainy day weather go hand in hand. If you are looking for an authentic dessert, make Punjabi meetha pooda at home with this easy recipe.
2 cups atta (whole wheat flour) 1 cup suji (semolina) 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoon fennel seeds (saunf) Oil for frying Water as needed
Mix atta, suji, sugar, and saunf. Add water to make a smooth batter. Let it rest.
Heat a tawa, add some ghee and pour a spoonful of batter. Spread it into a thin circle.
Let it cook till the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook for another minute.
Repeat with the rest of the batter.
Garnish with ghee or honey and serve with achaar or chutney.
