Pumpkins are available in abundance in the farmer’s market. It is a versatile ingredient that you can use to prepare savouries and desserts. Here is the recipe for pumpkin halwa that you must try.
1-2 tbsp ghee 2 cups pumpkin Chopped cashew, pistachio ¼ cup sugar ¼ cup milk 1 pinch of cardamom powder
Rinse the pumpkin, peel the skin, and grate it. Steam it until the shreds are soft.
Add ghee in a heavy-bottom pan and fry nuts until they are golden. Keep them aside.
Add pumpkin to the same pan and cook it until the raw scent goes away.
Add sugar to the mixture and stir the ingredients.
Once the sugar melts, top the pumpkin halwa with fried dry fruits.
Sprinkle cardamom powder on top and serve it.
