Kombucha is perfect for any weather. With its probiotic benefits and refreshing flavour, kombucha helps give instant relief from fatigue, muscular strain, and digestive issues. This easy kombucha recipe is your go-to solution.

Ingredients

10 cups filtered water 1/4 cup sugar 2 teaspoons of black tea 3 cloves 3 pods cardamom 1 star anise 1 inch cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds 1 inch ginger, freshly grated

Step 1

Take a thick-bottomed pan and add 10 cups of water to it. Bring it to a boil and add 2 tsp. of loose black tea along with the spices. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2

Turn off the heat and add sugar. Stir until it dissolves, and let the tea cool completely. After that, strain the tea and discard the tea leaves and spices.

Step 3

Gently place the SCOBY culture into the cooled tea and cover the container with a muslin cloth. Secure with a rubber band and let ferment for 5-7 days.

Step 4

After day 5, taste the kombucha daily until it gets your preferred flavour. When it's ready, remove the SCOBY and serve kombucha.

Step 5

Store the kombucha in a glass bottle and refrigerate. You can begin a new batch of kombucha by adding SCOBY to the freshly brewed tea.
