Make Perfect Beetroot Cutlets For Evening Snacks

If you’re craving for something savoury with subtle sweetness, nothing can beat the beetroot cutlets made at home. Beetroot cutlets are a delightful vegetarian dish that offers a burst of colours and nutrients to any meal. The recipe combines the earthy sweetness of beetroots with aromatic spices and hearty potatoes to create a mouthwatering snack.

Ingredients

2 medium-sized beetroot 2 boiled potatoes 1 finely chopped onion 2-cloves of garlic 1-inch ginger 2 green chilie A handful coriander leaves ,1 cup of  bread crumbs Salt to taste 1 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp garam masala Oil for frying.

Step 1

Peel and grate the beetroots and boiled potatoes. Finely chop garlic, ginger, green chilies, and coriander leaves.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine grated beetroot, boiled potato, chopped onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well. 

Step 3

Take a small portion of the mixture and shape in into small rounds or oval patties. Roll the patties in the breadcrumbs to coat them evenly. 

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying. Once the oil is hot, gently place the beetroot cutlets into the pan. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Step 5

Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
