Make Mumbai-Style Murmura Bhel For A Quick Evening Snack

When you hear “Mumbai,” you can automatically feel yourself immersed in the aroma of street food, fragrant chutneys, and spices. If you want to make a quick evening snack, here’s a recipe for bhel puri, which doesn’t even require any cooking.

Ingredients

2 cups puffed rice (murmura) 1 onion 1 boiled potato, boiled 1/2 cup peanuts 1/4 cup coriander leaves 1 tablespoon chillies 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala 1/4 teaspoon black salt Juice of 1 lemon Tamarind chutney Sev for garnish

Step 1

Take a large bowl and mix murmura, chopped onions, green chillies, diced potatoes, peanuts, and coriander leaves.

Step 2

Add lemon juice, red chilli powder, chaat masala, and black salt. Mix well.

Step 3

Add tamarind chutney and ensure it is evenly mixed.

Step 4

Garnish with sev and enjoy.
