Motichoor ladoo is one of the famous sweets that is popularly made for the 10-day Hindu festival – Ganesh Chaturthi. With this recipe, you can make the mouth-melting sweet at home.
1 cup besan 1/4 cup ghee 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands 1/4 cup chopped almonds or pistachios
Boil some water and add sugar. Let it simmer till you get a thread-like consistency. Set aside.
Mix besan and ghee to make a crumbly texture.
Heat some oil in a kadhai. Scoop small portions of the besan mixture and deep fry till golden brown.
In another bowl, mix the fried balls, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Add in sugar syrup and coat the ladoos.
Stir in chopped almonds or pistachios. Shape the mixture into small ladoos. Let the cool and serve.
