Relishing moong dal vadas with tangy green chutney is a must in winter, especially if you love street food. The deep-fried fritters also pair well with a cup of hot tea or coffee. Try this easy recipe.
¼ cup water 1 cup moong dal 1-inch ginger Salt to taste 3 tbsp rice flour 1 tsp jeera ¼ tsp baking soda Oil for deep frying 2 tbsp onion 2 tbsp coriander 2 green chillies
Soak moong dal for at least 4 hours. Drain the excess water and grind it into a coarse paste.
Add spices, chopped onion, green chillies, and baking soda to the mix.
Combine the ingredients well and keep them aside for a while.
Top the blend with coriander leaves and drop small vadas into hot oil.
Deep-fry moong dal vadas until they are crispy.
Serve moong dal vadas with green chutney and sauce.
