Corn is a monsoon favourite. Sweet corn chaat is a popular Indian street food snack that's both delicious and healthy. This flavourful dish combines tender sweet corn kernels with a medley of spices, fresh vegetables, and tangy chutneys, creating a delightful blend of sweet, spicy, tangy, and savoury flavours.
Sweet Corn Kernels 1 Onion 1 Tomato Green Chilies Coriander Leaves Chaat Masala Roasted Cumin Powder Red Chili Powder Lemon Juice Salt
If using fresh corn, remove the kernels from the cob. Boil the kernels in water until they are tender.
In a bowl, combine the boiled corn kernels, chopped onion, tomato, green chilies, and coriander leaves.
Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder, and salt over the corn mixture. Toss everything together to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chaat and mix well. The lemon juice adds a tangy kick that balances the sweetness of the corn.
Top the chaat with sev for a crunchy texture and pomegranate seeds for an extra burst of sweetness.
