Winter-special chaat gathering calls for matar pattice. Fresh, green, and subtly sweet peas are perfect for this recipe. You can use this crispy pattice not just to prepare chaat but also for burgers. Here is the recipe.
2 cups peas ½ cup besan 2 tbsp maida ¼ cup water 1 cup bread crumbs 1 tsp cumin, red chilli ½ tsp turmeric, pepper 1 tsp coriander, chaat masala Salt to taste 2 tbsp oil Oil for frying 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves 1 tsp chopped green chillies
Heat a saucepan and add oil to it. Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and green chillies.
Drop in washed peas with salt to taste. After 5 minutes, add spices.
Once peas are soft, add besan to the pan.
Let the peas mixture rest and mash it. Shape it into pattice.
Drop them in maida slurry and coat them with breadcrumbs.
Either shallow fry or air fry these pattice and enjoy with burger, chutney, or ketchup.
